One piece of Numeracy weekly

Handed out on a Friday – Handed in by Tuesday

In addition to this homework, children have all been provided with a Schofield & Sims mental maths workbook.  Please bring the workbook in when you have completed a page in order that it can be marked.  Once marked it will be handed back on a Friday.

One piece of Literacy based or Topic based homework is handed out weekly along with spellings.

Topic homework will be sent home when it supports the learning in school.

Year 3 Literacy/Topic 

This week, we have been writing shape poetry. Your homework is to write an acrostic poem based on the word ‘fireworks’.

Remember to use onomatopoeia (soundwords), similes and powerful verbs and adjectives to create a clear image of the fireworks in the reader’s mind.
