Our learning this week…

Year 3 & 4

This week, year 3 have been reviewing written methods for addition and subtraction in Maths using the column method.

In Literacy; they have been researching more information on the UK and writing non-chronological reports about their research.

In computing, they have continued  coding using purple mash with a  focus on debugging.

Their Science lesson was spent investigating how shadows change when light sources move further away. The children planned the investigation themselves.

Year 4 have been learning how to tell the time on analogue and digital clocks in 12 and 24 hour times. In their Literacy lessons they have continued their work on ‘The Lost Happy Endings’ and have been looking at the endings of stories to see what makes a story end well.

Science lessons have had lots of sniggering due to their looking at our digestive system and again they have been focussing on the endings (hence the sniggering).

Topic work has been combined with our ICT lessons as they have created information pages on the Anglo Saxons and hillforts using their ICT Microsoft Word skills.
