Neighbourhood Plan Meeting

On Tuesday 8th October representatives from the school attended the Neighbourhood Plan meeting.

Neighbourhood Plan Meeting - Waiting to Present

School Council Members Waiting to Present

Our 4 year 6 Student Council members, accompanied by Mrs Friend, presented the concerns that we have as a school about the proposed growth of the village.

400 new houses would inevitably result in Staplehurst School needing to expand. Our staff, governors and pupils wanted to ask questions about where additional classes would be built, would we lose valuable green space and would the current kitchens, playgrounds and surrounding roads cope with the additional numbers of pupils.

The four children, Olivia, Harry, Toby and Hannah were very professional and confident presenting to a hall full of adults.  They did themselves, their parents and the school proud.
