“The more we expect of ourselves and one another,
the more we can achieve”

At Staplehurst we believe that we are a continually improving school and effective school self-evaluation is a fundamental force in achieving school improvement.
School self-evaluation is a process by which senior leaders, governors and staff members of reflect on their practice and identify areas for action to stimulate improvement in the areas of pupil and professional learning.
Monitoring, evaluation and review is an essential feature of the management and leadership role in any effective school. Effective review of school life enables proper decisions to be made in relation to standards, quality, value for money and school improvement. At the heart of any school’s self-review, is quality assurance based upon astute, evidence-based self-evaluation that is rooted in systematic monitoring.
